Grit is pertaining passion and perseverance for long-term goals and significant objectives. It is the capacity to continue something you feel enthusiastic about and drive forward when you face challenging obstacles.
The definition itself manifests the reasoning of why grit is so important. Success and Achievement is usually derived from perseverance and determination, as possessing grit enables you to stick with your goals and keep working hard even after experiencing difficulty or failure. Without grit a person may never meet there full potential. Without grit, a person may never become the person they want to be. Without grit, an athlete may never reach their full potential. Without grit, a student with the highest iq may never reach their academic goals and requirements. Without grit, I would never achieve my academic goals or pursue my future work goals. Possessing grit can define a persons life and dictate there reality and even those around them, hence its importance.
Not everyone is born with grit or the ability to maintain determination towards a certain goal whilst undertaking and experiencing difficult challenges varying from all aspects of life, Its these challenges which can also create Grit. These challenges may eventually provide motivation, determination, persistence and the necessary attributes which are needed to reach these long term goals. Grit dictates reality and outcomes tremendously not only for the person possessing it, but also those around them hence its importance.
Both of my sons were born with grit.
